These are some of the beautiful pearlscale goldfish that live in the Dorje pond.
As you can see, their environment is free from sharp edges, to protect their delicate scales. There is also plenty of space for them to swim where the water current is not strong, so they do not have to struggle.
The pond is divided by a netting separator so that other more aggressive, faster-moving fish can be kept separate from the slower-moving pearlscales. The netting separator also prevents the pearlscales from being sucked into / stuck onto the powerful pond filter that we have on the right end of the Dorje pond.
